Camille lorocco, msw

Therapist | Trauma-Informed & Experiential Therapy | Children, Adolescents & Adults

Experience and Professional Background

Camille earned her Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University and is committed to providing clinically sound, trauma-informed care to individuals and families navigating complex life stressors. Her work focuses on supporting children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, and challenges associated with significant life transitions.

In addition to her professional training, Camille brings a unique perspective shaped by more than 30 years as a military spouse, an experience that has provided deep insight into resilience, transition, identity shifts, and the emotional impact of life changes. This lived experience informs her understanding of the challenges individuals and families often face when adapting to uncertainty, relocation, and evolving family dynamics.

Through both her professional and personal experiences, Camille is dedicated to creating a therapeutic environment that is compassionate, structured, and supportive, helping clients build resilience, strengthen insight, and develop meaningful strategies for navigating life’s challenges.

Therapeutic Approach

Camille’s work is grounded in a trauma-informed and integrative therapeutic approach, drawing from evidence-based practices that support emotional regulation, resilience, and personal growth. She tailors treatment to reflect each client’s developmental stage, relational experiences, and individual goals.

In therapy, Camille works collaboratively with clients to explore patterns of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while identifying strategies that support greater emotional stability and well-being. Sessions may focus on strengthening emotional regulation, improving communication, and developing healthier ways of responding to stress and life transitions.

Camille also incorporates experiential approaches, including practices such as mindful movement, yoga-based techniques, and creative expression through art when appropriate. These approaches can help clients reconnect with their bodies, regulate the nervous system, and explore emotions in ways that extend beyond traditional talk therapy.

Her goal is to create a therapeutic environment that is compassionate, structured, and empowering—one in which clients feel genuinely heard and supported as they build resilience and work toward meaningful, lasting change.
